Election Blues or is that Red or Yellow or even Green?

Well there’s still nearly two months to go and if your anything like me, your probably already turning off to the hollow promises, sorry pledges, of most if not all of the Parties. I do object to the use of the word party in relation to these boring twits, according to the OED’s first definition – A social gathering of invited guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment..

The Gathering is like something out of a surreal play, no one really understands what the hell they are talking about, in fact I some times wonder if they know themselves.

As for Invited Guests well they keep being beamed, uninvited into my home when I would far rather be watching real news or a scripted comedy, not a Whitehall Farce.

Involving eating and drinking, yes all at our expense, they keep their snouts in the trough for as long as possible while their constituents have to beg borrow and steal for crumbs from the table.

As for entertainment, well much as I like good comedians, this lot fall far short of the mark, mind you when they do on those very rare occasions actually give an answer, the only reply is a good belly laugh. Having watched Ed Balls on the Andrew Marr show this morning, my only response is he is aptly named, Balls by name and by nature. I have yet to hear this human corkscrew give a straight answer to ANY question. After his interview I heard that George, my maths is crap, Osborne was coming up, I had to switch off the TV.

It amazes me that these pompous oafs keep on about engaging youth in their election squabbles, having disenchanted the rest of the voting population, they really do need to get their act together.

As I have mentioned before I have no love for any of the political parties, they all seem en mass like white noise in the background. I find it better to think in terms of individual representatives. At the end of the day you have some 600 plus individuals trying to be heard when you know full well that only a handful at the very top have any real input, not control, that’s the job of the Civil Servants who will still be running our lives when this lot are dust. So the best you can hope for is a Government that will do as little as possible to screw up the status quo.
